Anniversary upgrades to the Stax Museum, a renovated performing arts center for a neighborhood theatre group, and new creator spaces for artists are among the seven initiatives funded through $510,500 in new local arts group grants from ArtsMemphis.
The Metal Museum, Soulsville Foundation, Cazateatro Bilingual Theatre Company, Memphis Youth Symphony Program, Young Actors Guild, Arrow Creative and Tennessee Shakespeare Company are recipients of this year’s set of “Enhancement Grants,” ArtsMemphis announced Thursday.
The grants are meant to support the local groups in endeavors to “‘enhance’ their presence and impact both locally and globally,” Elizabeth Rouse, president and CEO of ArtsMemphis, said in a statement.
