Afro-Latino Week 2027

Save the date for Afro-Latino Week 2027, a vibrant, week-long celebration honoring Afro-Latino voices, history, and culture through storytelling, music, dance, and community connection.

From February 24–27, Cazateatro Bilingual Theatre Group will present a series of cultural events at 5104 Stage Rd. More program details for 2027 will be announced as the week approaches.

Afro-Latino Week is an annual celebration of the culture that results from the blending of African and Latin influences. Through art, music, dance, and more, the program highlights the ways the African diaspora is blended into Latino culture. It dates back to 2018, when community members at Cazateatro organized the first week. It also pays tribute to the contributions of Afro-Latinos during Black History Month.

During Afro-Latino Week, Cazateatro has hosted panel discussions, classes, school performances, and the Afro-Latino Night Fiesta. Those are part of the program’s history. They are not a confirmed schedule for 2027.
