Community/Family style Bomba dance and music workshop:

Bomba is both traditional dance and musical style of Puerto Rico. Its origins are rooted in the island's history of African slavery but today has evolved into a community expression of Afro-Puerto Rican culture. 90-minute dance and music workshop. Offering narratives/contexts, demonstration, and interaction on the dance and the music practices of Bomba. The class is tailored to family audiences (parents and children). The class is given with live drumming/instrumentation and singing Audience: open level/community/family.
