SAVE THE DATE
For this year’s annual Dia de los Muertos Celebration! Cazateatro Bilingual Theatre Group and Memphis Brooks Museum of Art presents this annual event, where families are invited to honor ancestors and celebrate the cycle of life and death.
Plans are underway for a dynamic and engaging socially-distanced event.
What is a Reverse Parade?
Businesses/Groups/Organizations will set up a Day of the Dead display and get as creative as they can. The community can spend the day going around and looking at different displays and learning more about local organizations. Displays will be visible from a vehicle.
The idea of the reverse parade is for the parade units (such as floats) to be placed socially-distanced throughout the street, so people interested in viewing the parade can drive or bike by to view each group in the parade.
Decorate your cars and trucks, add signs, play music – get creative. This is for people, businesses, organizations, churches, law enforcement agencies, anyone who would like to celebrate.
Applications and payment must be received no later than Saturday, October 2, 2021. (Space is Limited)
